The Department of Health, Washington and the Office for Catholic Schools want to help share information about the Coronavirus. Please take the time to click on the links below.
I am working with staff about sanitizing protocols as well. Everyone is being asked to disinfect students desks, door knobs, light switches, and other commonly touched things in their classroom at the end of each day.
We do not have a specific online program in place, but we do have ParentSquare as a platform to use for communication and attachments for student work. I am planning to implement zoom, a virtual meeting source, if necessary for a prolonged school closure. This would allow teachers to give lessons and answer student questions virtually.
With the raised awareness of the Coronavirus, as a school we have decided to not shake hands during the sign of peace at Mass and not use our drinking fountains. If you have any spare hand sanitizer you would be willing to send in for the students to use that would be greatly appreciated. Since our drinking fountains will not be in use, please feel free to send your child with a water bottle to school each day. We would also like to recommend the water bottle return home and get washed each night.
