Accreditation Report of Findings: The Visiting Committee observed that St. Joseph School has effectively defined their purpose through a clear mission statement and a measurable Schoolwide Learning Expectations, SLEs. St. Joseph School made revisions to their SLEs, and presented them to the shareholders in March of 2019. After the SLEs were reaffirmed by the Parent Club and School Commission they displayed them among the school as a reminder for teachers, students and parents of their mission and purpose. The SLEs are effectively integrated into all aspects of daily life for the students. They are visible throughout the school on posters and bulletin boards, integrated in lesson plans, liturgies at daily Mass and exhibited in community service projects. St. Joseph School has updated all its core curriculum to ensure its alignment to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) with the goal of increasing their resources for high achieving students. St. Joseph School has identified the need to implement a measurement tool for their SLEs so they can provide feedback to students.
